What are soy wax scented candles?

Soy wax scented candles are candles made from soybean oil, a natural and renewable resource. They are infused with delightful fragrances and designed to create a soothing ambiance while promoting eco-conscious living.

How should I properly burn a scented candle?

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience with scented candles, follow these steps:

1.Trim the Wick: Before each use, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch to prevent excessive smoking and uneven burning.

2. Allow a Full Pool: Allow the candle to create a full melt pool (liquified wax reaching the edges) each time you light it. This prevents tunneling and maximizes the candle's burn time.

3. Burn Time: Limit each burn session to 2-4 hours to prevent overheating and ensure the fragrance remains pleasant.

4. Extinguish Safely: Use a candle snuffer or carefully blow out the flame to extinguish the candle. Avoid blowing too hard, which can cause hot wax to splatter.

5. Store Properly: Keep candles away from direct sunlight, drafts, and heat sources to maintain their quality. Cap it to prevent dust settling in the candle jar.

How do I remove spilled candle wax from surfaces?

To remove spilled candle wax from surfaces, follow these steps:

  1. Freeze and Scrape: If the wax is still soft, place a plastic bag filled with ice cubes on the wax to harden it. Once hardened, gently scrape off as much wax as possible with a plastic scraper or credit card.
  2. Absorb with Paper Towels: Place a few layers of paper towels over the remaining wax and apply low heat with a hairdryer. The wax will melt and be absorbed into the paper towels.
  3. Remove Residue: If there is a residue left, use a mixture of equal parts water and vinegar to clean the area, or a gentle, non-abrasive cleaner suitable for the surface.
  4. Test First: Always test any cleaning method in a small inconspicuous area before applying it to a larger, visible area.
